BOSTONIAN SPOTLIGHT

📸 Meet @annieyesiamokay: The Boston Creator Effortlessly Capturing Boston Moments 🍀

Meet Annie, a local who loves Boston just as much as we do! 💙🏙️ @annieyesiamokay is a Boston-based creator who effortlessly captures the everyday moments that make this city so special. Her content has a way of making you pause and appreciate the beauty in daily life. We caught up with Annie to chat about her favorite spots, creative inspiration, and Boston must-dos!

📱 What inspired you to start creating content?

“I actually work for an influencer, Kate Weiser, who runs the Bucket List Boston account—that’s what initially got me into content creation. But, having moved across the country away from my friends and family, I needed a way to stay connected.

One of the hardest things about moving away is keeping in touch—especially with a three-hour time difference! Now, I create content that feels like catching up with a good friend, because in my mind, that’s exactly who it’s for. The people closest to me can see and be part of my Boston adventures, no matter the distance.”

☕ Favorite Boston spots?

“My absolute favorite place in all of Boston is the Boston Public Garden. There’s a specific bench I always sit on, and—I know this sounds crazy—but I love to rate the ducks landing in the pond. 😆

The Garden is also perfect for people-watching—musicians playing, artists sketching tourists and locals, and in the winter, people skating on the frozen pond. Just last weekend, I walked across the ice for the first time while people were playing pond hockey. My West Coast self could have never imagined doing that!

When I’m there, I always grab a latte from Tatte before settling in.”

🛍️ Your go-to local business?

“I’m a HUGE fan of Polcari’s in the North End! It’s my go-to spot for fresh ground coffee at home. The shop has been family-owned for 100 years, which is incredible.

When I first moved to Boston, I popped in to check it out, and one of the employees gave me a full history of the shop and the people in the photos on the wall. Then, he sent me off with a lemon slush—on the house! That kind of kindness made the experience unforgettable, and it’s why I keep going back.”

🎶 One Boston event you never miss?

“I haven’t lived here long enough to do this event twice, but I can’t wait to go to Boston Calling again this year! I think live music is the best way to experience an artist, and there’s something amazing about having a huge festival right in your own backyard.”

🏠 What neighborhood in Boston do you call home?

“I currently live in Somerville, but I’m manifesting a move to the South End this year. So, cross your fingers for me!”

🚀 Anything exciting coming up?

“I can't say much just yet, but we’re launching something really exciting at Bucket List Boston very soon! Stay tuned.

Until then, you can follow me at @annieyesiamokay on Instagram & TikTok for behind-the-scenes content—or just to catch up!”
