As October rolls in and the leaves begin to turn, Boston transforms into a hub of spooky excitement and festive fun. Whether you’re a fan of family-friendly fall activities or something a bit more chilling, there’s a festival for everyone. Here are three must-visit Halloween festivals that will make your October unforgettable!

Boston's Wicked Haunted Festival 👻

his fall, Charlestown welcomes a massive new Halloween festival: Boston’s Wicked Haunt Fest. With everything from haunted walk-throughs to an Oktoberfest beer garden, Wicked Haunt Fest is set to be a highlight of the season.

Wicked Haunt Fest offers a mix of thrilling and family-friendly activities. At the heart of the festival are three immersive haunted experiences, each boasting “Hollywood-caliber” details, including professionally trained scare actors and impressive animatronics. But don’t worry if you’re not into scares; there are plenty of daytime activities like pumpkin painting, a graveyard walk-through, face painting, and trick-or-treating for all ages.

General admission tickets are $25, granting access to the festival grounds, themed bars, and family-friendly areas. For $50, you can experience all three haunted attractions along with the festival's offerings. If you want to skip the lines, the Spectral Speed Fast Pass is available for $70, providing expedited entry to the haunted experiences and full access to festival activities. Free parking is also available for up to three hours!
